The other thing that I can't fathom is that none of these minidv camcorders come with the firewire data cable. Need help picking out a miniDV camcorder (Sony, Panasonic, Canon)?
I currently have a Sony Handycam that's about 3 years old and I'm looking for something that is better quality that I can use for personal film projects and perhaps weddings.
I've read that 3CCD eliminated a “jello” effect (Rolling Shutter Effect) that CMOS sensors have with mechanical vibrations… So I'm hoping to find something with that unless my information is out-dated.
Here is what I'm looking for:
- Audio inputs for a condensor mic to be plugged into
- MiniDV (HDV) preferred or Flash based storage
- 3CCD unless better is out there
- Budget < $1000
Please recommend a specific model/brand so I can do more research.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
