this is bit confusing and search doesnt give proper results ,are camcorder and MINI DV same thinds

where exaclty does the data (the video and audio which we are recording gets recorded) as in it on memory card,hard disk or some other media

how do we transfer that data to our PC or LAPTOP

can we do it through USB transfer
